I wonder if this run changes Hassan’s mind about the marathon. She said she was doing London as a one off, but she’s already won everything on the track. Is it better to win another 10K gold in Budapest, or instead devote herself for the rest of the year to the marathon and see what she can do in Berlin with proper training and learning how to fuel, etc?
I predict she sticks to track through the world championships, and then moves to the marathon for the Olympics.
It might just be my perception, but it seems like no one really cares that much about the world championship, marathon as compared to the majors and the Olympics
Kiptum split 13:49 from 30k to 35k. That’s insane. If he somehow maintained that pace to the finish (no way) he’d break the WR. This is going to be FAST.
LRC crowned Chebet just last week 😂 I'd hate to be an AK Olympic selector right now. Eliud might be forced to run Berlin to qualify, now.
I was thinking the same, Berlin or Valencia this Fall if he wants to run in Paris.
Great to see Hassan totally chuffed in the BBC interview.
WTF. Just seen that Boston marathon champ, Yuki Kawauchi started with the club runners. And he's till beat elites like Frank Lara and Luke Caldwell. Where's the respect for a guy who ran 2:07 in the last year?
