This thread went off the rails a bit with 1 particular poster hijacking it and trying to make it about one moderator so we have locked it.
Before I give my takeaways, if you have concerns about moderating, or posts, please report them or email me directly. We make it very easy to be heard at LetsRun.com and reach us. But if you sidetrack threads by discussing moderation, those posts will be removed and can lead to temporary bans as they ruin the discussion for everyone else.
But some takeaways. 1) Dealing with the problematic posters/troublemakers isn't easy but we need to make sure in dealing with them we do not go too far and harm the experience for other posters 2) The filters often flag people by accident. Exempt SC members from the filters at the very least. 3) Consider creating a toggle so people don't have to see "this post was deleted in a thread". In the posts where the trouble makers try and takeover, these notifications start to ruin the experience. 4) Consider moving some posts out of the main forum. 5) Look at limiting how often people can post in a thread. 6) Try and get a better handle on the use of VPNs by people posting, reporting posts, upvoting, etc. 7) I will actively monitor all of malmo's moderating and posts for the next week and give him feedback. We already actively communicate but some of your points and emails were helpful.
Nah. Same user as “lol whatt”; phone vs. laptop. I do appreciate (not really) the attempts to smokescreen away from sock puppeting and brigading that you’re doing by accusing me of it.

Rek and Armstronglivs do like to clutter and derail, that’s for sure. Undoubtedly a pair of shut-ins. Rek has really been pumping up his output of falsehoods lately.

The solution to most of the problems is simple. Take away malmos mod powers. It's ironic that I'll probably be banned by him for this very post. And nothing will change. I don't know if he has some sort of dirt on the brojos and that's why they retain him as a mod even when 90% of people here are calling to get rid of him.
Is there a way that posts can be deleted without "This post was removed" appearing? Sometimes good threads get bombed by the spammers or 430 and the thread ends up being "This thread was removed" over and over again. It looks ridiculous. I don't know anything about internet message boards but this seems like it can be fixed easily.

I absolutely don’t care about anyone agreeing with my views. I almost always state precisely what I mean and don’t post anything that violates any of the forum rules, so if a mod removes my post, it’s only because they simply don’t like my views; when that happens, I’d at least want to know that that happened. Silent removal would feel more insulting.
My point is youve made your case. The brojos and Malmo heard it. You've convinced some sight users but you are weakening your argument by seeming obsessive. If you actually want to do more than blow off steam and have people take your position seriously you probably need a break from this topic. I checked this thread on my morning break, at lunch, while in the line to get out of work, and after running and seen you still going each time. It's good to be passionate but at some point when all that can be said has been said it starts to work against you.
I agree. I have stated my view on moderation many times. I’ve stated it here in this thread. Robert, Weldon, and M*lmo simply don’t agree. Weldon and Robert asked for our opinion, denied pretty much everything we said, got angry, and marched off in a huff. M*lm0 has stuck around to engage in pointless arguments with some of the posters. I think they have lost something really important on this site. But it’s theirs to run and they can do as they like.
Haha - a few hours ago I got banned for life for replying to one of Weldon’s posts that mentioned M*lm0s name. Weldon was kind enough to reinstate me, but it is poetic irony.

I agree. Not only do I think that it’d be better that the “post was removed” message remain for purposes of context, but I think it’d be even better to include a reason for why it was removed.
I live in Thailand. It isn't a VPN. I use incognito on chrome because you gave me a lifetime auto ban for posting a link. I appealed the ban and you denied the appeal.
Why is it so hard for you to accept that malmo is a problem here?
