You probably had a bad race but it was 60 degrees with a tailwind. Either you paced or fueled poorly cause those are A- conditions

People thinking I'm bashing Hasay are making me laugh. I also started a thread on Yuki and Ritz. Half the people thought I was bashing Ritz. Another half thought I was bashing Yuki for showboating. In reality, I was just pointing out facts that I thought were interesting. Same thing here.

Rojo celebrates the men finishing 8th but suggests pumping the brakes when Hasay finishes on the podium. What a buffoon!

What a great race forJordan. It must be reassuring to Rupp that she came back after injury and did so well. I’m sure he watched and is super motivated to come back strong.

I think it’s obvious that Jordan will steadily improve if she stays injury free. Great race looking forward her progression in the marathon.

From the start of the race, Jordan ran in the lead pack, and only two of those in that pack were able to break away and stay in front of her. Given her long time off from a bad injury that she could NOT run on, and her own personal difficulties (losing her Mom, that she was so close to) and training without a support group of women around her, I'd say she is one tough and successful woman runner. She beat all but one past Boston champion and placed third on what I personally feel is the toughest marathon course to race on (excluding something as ridiculous as, say, 26.2 miles on Badwater or Barclays, or some such).

Not to mention having such a long racing career since her youth, and discovering that she was meant for the marathon and not for the track. If she stays healthy (and I hope she does), she looks very likely to be one of our Olympic Marathoner's next year.

Finally, so what that she didn't break 2:25, one could say only 3 women broke 2:26, and was only 2 minutes behind the winner. Who else finished on the podium?

Neither Ward nor Fauble are the superstars here. Yet, those two ran 8 minutes slower than WR, and Hasay 10 minutes.

Jordan finished 3rd behind this years champion and the 2017 Champion.

It’s still a B race. All the proper runners are getting ready for the worlds most prestigious and famous marathon. That’s London. So, as an equivalent, she came 3rd in a hobby jogging Olympic downhill Cheaterfly race. Well done.

Would her coach now let her eat some potatoes?

We are not allowed to celebrate an American's performance unless it is a world record. Anything less deserves no attention. 3rd place is 2nd loser.

I think that for Hasay--and Ritzenhein--it's unfortunate that the big money is in the marathon. From what I've seen--and I'll admit I don't follow The Sport obsessively--each of them would be better served by somewhat short distances.
