Additionally, Lieberg mentioned several times that she ran into Akor, while Akor WAS LEADING.
All of that was obviously Lieberg's fault, not Akor's.

You are correct, this is not football. It is running and it has its own Competition Rules.
Rule 163.4
"Any competitor or participant responsible for jostling, running across, or obstructing another competitor or participant so as to impede his or her progress shall be liable to disqualification in that event. "

Mary Akor was the WINNER of that race.
The organizers were the cheats.
They tried to give the prize to somebody else but the crowd wouldn't let them.
Um, actually she was trying to collect money designated for Nigerian runners only, kind of like our races offer money for the "first American." She is no longer a Nigerian; she is an American (sadly) and can no longer collect money as a Nigerian. She tried to cheat, plain and simple. Drugs, obstructing other runners, claiming false citizenship -- it's all the same and it's called cheating. She was absolutely out of control and they had the right to remove her from the stage. The scene was embarrassing for the race.
Funny you should mention that guy, Lance. The race chose to have him be their official charity runner. He raised money by passing honest runners and beating them. Just a funny juxtaposition, and difficult to determine what their stance is on past history. ?

We all know ONLY black runners get DQ'ed. Look at all those black runners who got DQ'ed at World Indoors. I don't see a single white person on the list.
Akor was DQ'ed for either pushing Liebert or for being a prior drug offender. I have not seen a definitive reason given by the Austin Marathon yet, but it is one of the two.
I believe she was likely DQd for concealing her bib. Liebert didn’t recognize her as one of the Marathon elites and thought she was runnning the half.
If she hadn’t been DQd for concealing her bib, she could have been for the shove.
