Outside assistance?

highly unlikely if big races started dqing people for outside assistance half the participants would be dqed
I'm betting they dq'd her because she has a drug conviction but, I hate to say this but she has served her time. Looking at all the information with the Austin marathon it says nothing about anyone being ineligible to get the money if there is a drug suspension. It appears usatf has already allowed her back into the fold so the Austin marathon might be screwed and looking at some big legal fees if she fights them over this.
I can't remember if Liza Hunter ran awesome and collected money after her drug suspension. Maybe someone with LRC can look that up.
Unless she's paid back the money from the races where her results were annulled, then she hasn't completed her punishment. A lot of folks fail to look at that little part of the rule book. Today I'm thinking it might have been because she ran with her race bib covered and seems like she tried to create the illusion that she was participating in the half marathon - hoping other runners wouldn't notice her. She's a disgrace to the sport.
According to the elite coordinator, she was supposed to be removed from the overall “Elite“ results but allowed to remain in the open “age group” results. There was prize money for elite only. If one goes to the website and looks at the requirements to be eligible for prize money it was contingent upon being accepted into the elite field. Part of being accepted into the elite field was filling out a questionnaire, that questionnaire asked if one had served a doping suspension in the past. a previous doping suspension would prevent one from being allowed into the elite field at Austin. However, I don’t know why she would have been disqualified. There was a little heated argument between her and the elite coordinator after she cross the finish line when he explain the situation to her, she immediately said he was racist, and that their website said nothing of the sort. He stood his ground and refused to include her in the prize money results.

Yes, when in doubt and with nothing else left to say, cry "racist". Thank goodness this seems to be dissipating. Maybe she can hire a couple of Nigerians or something?

yawn.
What time/place did she run (before the DQ)?

If I recall she was about 25-30 seconds behind the top female
Kiwi EPO Junky Liza Hunter won $10,000 as the 2015 Boston Marathon Female Masters winner.
But she only took EPO once. Oops, my mistake, she only got caught once.
Wow, I ran the race today and had no idea there was a DQ. I also never heard of this woman until now and a simple Google search not only turned up her doping ban but also another incident at a marathon in Nigeria. She switched her citizenship from Nigerian to American in 2004 but tried to take the money for the first Nigerian finisher in a 2016 marathon.
"So it was a huge surprise for athletics buffs when Akor forced her way to the podium when the first three Nigerian women: Deborah Pam, Olude Fadekemi and Olamide Oluwaseun were called to the podium to receive their prizes.
Akor, an athlete who dumped Nigeria at the peak of her career for whatever reasons jumped on the podium to claim a prize for Nigerian runners.
The security men did not manhandle her, they just carried her away from the podium and when she insisted on causing commotion, top officials of the Access Bank Lagos City Marathon asked that she be allowed to stand on the podium since all she will be collecting at the ceremony is a dummy cheque."
I don't know anything about the alleged commotion from today's race but past history seems to indicate that this is not a first time occurrence. She sounds like a real winner to me. So proud that she represents the USA today rather than Nigeria. Someone asked how she did - she placed second in 2:43:21 before the DQ.

And her doping ban:
Mary is shady as s***. Served her time? BS. She cheated others and races for years. Some people need to be permanently banned. She’s the prime example. Applause to Austin for having a policy and higher integrity.

New development:
https://www.statesman.com/sports/20190217/lieberg-wins-drama-filled-race-to-claim-womens-marathonwell, I looked at the entry form for elite athletes. Here is the guidelines, which says nothing about testing positive:
https://youraustinmarathon.com/austin-marathon-elites/
I also went through the googledocs entry form. It does clearly ask on page 3 about whether the individual has tested positive, served a doping suspension, or been affiliated with a coach or program who has. It does not state that athletes with a doping positive will not be accepted, but maybe that is implied.
This race is USATF sanctioned. I am not sure on the status of doping punishments beyond those that are specified in the WADA code. Seems to me the British Olympic committee lost the Chambers case on a similar post-punishment ineligibility. If USATF would not be allowed to make Akor ineligible, I am not sure they can sanction a race that does.
according to a statesman article she shoved another runner during the race, not sure if that had anything to do with it.
Anyone see any of this on the FloTrack stream?

Obvious reason: Because she is black.
Look at all the racism in the comments on this thread, and that is the reason.
Was not in the elite field and therefor not eligible for prize money. Then during the race, cut off the eventual winner on numerous occasions and shoved her at one point.

According to the article:
"race organizers said they learned that Akor has a history of doping and a checkered past when it comes to prize money and race officials, and they subsequently disqualified her. "
They apparently disqualified her for having a "checkered past," not for anything that happened in the race.
