5:25 at the mile for lead women. 8 women plus three pacers.

All the African runner are in the first group as usual~
The coverage are focusing the chasing group now.
The rabbits were supposed to go out at 2:19 pace. That's not happening. Leaders are at 10:53 through 2 miles (2:22:40 pace).
Plus Paul Swangard just used one of the stats from my preview on air!

Boston:
Ethio men swept top 3, and that's exactly what the Kenyans will do in London.
Ethio women went 1-2, and Kenya 3rd. It'll be the opposite in London.
I'd love to see Bekele win and start his success in the marathon here, but I just don't see it happening yet. To me, he doesn't seem to be as fit as he was during the Great North Ran. It'll be great if he doesn't DNF and finish at least 3rd or 4th.
So here's how I see the London results:
Men:
1. KEN (Kipchoge....he's like Cheserek at NCAAs )
2. KEN (Kipsang)
3. KEN (Biwott or Kimmeto, but would LOVE to see Bekele in 3rd at least)
Women:
1. KEN (Keitany)
2. KEN (F. Kiplagat)
3. ETH (Dibaba)
.....race will be**
I am with you on this.
However, I have:-
1. KEN (Kipsang)
2. KEN (Kipchoge)
3. KEN (Biwott)
Women:
1. KEN (Keitany)
2. KEN (Kiplagat)
3. ETH (Dibaba)
4. ETHI (Tufa)
2013 champ Priscilla Jeptoo has already been dropped during mile 3.
Lead pack of nine including two pacemakers through 5K in 16:31, 2:19:20 pace.

Kipchoge is just too good. No one can shake him!
Well apparently the women picked it up a lot during mile 3. They didn't give a 3-mile split but the leaders are 16:31 at 5k which would be 5:07 pace from 2 to 3.1 miles. That seems right as they look like they're running faster and Jeptoo was dropped.
Okay now Masback saying mile 3 was 5:04
her name is Priscah
Just realized the WCH silver medal Helah Kiprop is the pacer.

Duh! What a silly mistake from me.
Priscah Jeptoo might be gone.

It is 4:36 in the morning here so my brain apparently hasn't woken up yet.
Mile 3 is downhill

The weather is absolutely atrocious.
It is cold, rainy, windy & thoroughly miserable.
For anyone to break 2"06 will be a miracle.

Heading out now to Surrey Quays for some spectating... sun is out, barely any wind, cool but not freezing... as close to perfect weather as you can get.
I just noticed that Helah Kiprop is one of the pacemakers.
Some dude is going for the "white appliance record "
