Portland, I forgot about "cheatin Heart" by Hank....good job. How about George Strait's "You'got to have an ace in the hole.....a little secret that nobody knows" song
...and the Boxcar Willie classic "Waitin for a Train"...
Just how fast was that Martin Franklin guy anyway? How fast was he capable of running and how much time did he shave off?
Oh yeah, to get back to the original reason of this topic how about "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson!
here is a story from the archives...
Martin, I bet you never listen to Super Tramp's "Take The Long Way Home".
Belle and Sebastian - "The Stars of Track and Field"
Belle and Sebastian - "The Loneliness of a Middle Distance Runner"
best running songs, perhaps not to run to , however
Sympathy for the Devil - No Lyrics - Jerico Mile
In high school, I ran a great cross country race after hearing Bruce Springsteen's "Candy's Room." Not related to running, but got nme pumped up and I used it straight through hugh school.
I college, I had a similar experience with Kate Bush, "Runnin' Up That Hill" and switched to that.
Right now, I run like crap, so I guess it dosn't matter.
'welcome to the jungle' by guns & roses and 'pressure' by billy joel were 2 of my favorite pre-race songs. "you've only had to run so far, so fast" or something like that.
Metalica- Wherever I May Roam
Almost all of the Korn. Any song that makes my blood boil and gets me thinking about commiting homocide. Old or new it doesnt matter as much as the beat.
Bjork's "Army Of Me"
PJ Harvey's "This Is Love"
Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now"
Are we talking about running songs or songs to run to?
I would have to say Nashville Pussy. If that doesn't get you out the door and rocking I don't know what will.
Stepay, I thought you liked "Wake me up before you go go" by Wham.
Another vote here for ACDC
THUNDER AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA THUNDER
Mine is by Michael Jackson - "Beat It" (of course as in beat my PR time)
Ain't No Fun - Snoop
I went through a big Smashing Pumpkins phase in school.
Kohlberg, I do believe I pissed you off royally about a year a go. Hopefully, you have forgiven me since then.
BBBBBRRRRRRRUUUUUUUCCCCCCEEEEEEE !!!!!!!
Pre-race I would say Korn's "Got the life" followed by the theme for Chariots of Fire. If that song doesn't send chills down your spine you're not human.
