Bekele´s 2000m WR indoors is only standing because Jakob hasn´t run this distance indoors yet.

How much do you think the shoes give in the 2000m?

Yeah, I'm excited for it. I laughed at the comment about it being "JV Worlds" though. It's definitely lack luster, where I feel like this should be a much bigger deal. I think it's really sad that so many of the world's top athletes don't feel like this is worth their time to go to.

There should be two big track championships per year in my opinion: Indoor Worlds, and Outdoor Worlds. All other meets are just practice to get you there. It's sad that so many athletes only prioritize one meet per year (Outdoor Worlds/Olympics)

...I think the point being made is that there aren't very many STARS. Did Bolt never run indoors because of taking drugs in Jamaica early each year ? Same for Carl and SMTC most of the time too ?
