So scott is potter going to MOUNT or what?
So scott is potter going to MOUNT or what?
why the hell would potter transfer to mount. berg kicked mounts ass at the end of the year and it looks like they are on the rise
Lets get back to the true discussion of track and field?
How much will Mount totally destroy the nation in DMR?
I say if basitsa runs he will be around 3:00, who ever runs 400- will just put them at 50 for math purposes, garro 1:52, and veliquete 4:10
DMR= 9:52 and I can see them going faster if they go to some big indoor meet. Garro and vel can run a lil faster
They'll have to run that fast if they want to win the conference. Otterbein, Northern and Berg will all be national qualifiers.
Otterbein, Northern and Berg will all be national qualifiers! I see Northern and maybe Berg getting the provo but not making it to the national meet. Otterbein and keep wishing b/c they fell off the wagon a lot time ago!
it will be interesting to see wont it?
If sigmund didnt have mono at the end of cross Mount would of killed them at nationals. Thats just like Northern beating Mount in football. People get hurt and have bad races but I bet that if everyone was healthy and the couse wasnt a shit hole then Mount would of been in the top 10. Funking allegheny took 3rd and Mount funking raped them at case. That tell us if Mount was all healthy we would of destoryed Berg! All you f***'s that think Berg is better then Mount... go suck on lacsh;s dick!
As a somewhat recent Heidelberg grad, I can tell you that Otterbein has a much better chance to qualify in the DMR. I love Heidelberg, but they don't have many guys blessed with speed. Lasch could be a 4:16 kind of guy this indoor season; they could certainly find a stud 400 runner and maybe have someone go 1:55 in the 800, but nobody can fill that 1200 gap. They almost need Scott to run both the mile and 1200 leg. Simpson has a mile PR of 4:22 or 23, but he's no miler and with the mileage he runs, his legs won't be feeling good until May. Same goes for Wysocki. The 'Berg would need somebody to peak for the indoor DMR, and they won't do that. For a team like Mount or ONU and maybe Otterbein who feel like they can affect the national scene I totally agree with the decision to have a mini indoor peak and go for it, but if Heidelberg is realistic they won't do it. I definateliy feel that the top three teams in terms of middle distance, which is what it takes to run a fast DMR, are Mount, ONU and Otterbein. If you know anything about the types of runners on other teams around the OAC you would know this. Cross Country success doesn't always equate to fast mile times, etc. Best of luck to all, represent the conference well.
With all due respect to the poster who says Mount would have killed Berg at Nat's, I believe Lasch and Simpson would have still run in front of Mount's 1 and Berg's depth improved throughout the year. Give Heidelburg some credit, they raced well at the right time of the year. Sigmund is a huge factor, but how long was he sick? He didn't run well at All-Ohio and I find it hard to believe that someone suffering from mono would have been where he was at the OAC meet. He was very inconsistent this year. I think Bernard would have been Mount's 2 regardless and Heidelberg still put people in front of him. Saying that Mount would have "killed" Berg is a sweeping generalization that lacks respect and is absurd. I would say though to a young gun like Lasch that has a big future ahead of him you should get off the forum man and let your feet do the talking. It's just strange for someone to contribute to a thread while they are still competiting in what is being discussed. For all I know though, that's not really you.
I cant wait until cross!
Berg isn't even the best team in town...
Come on now. And learn how to spell Scott's name right. I think there is a "c" in there.
Honestly if I was your coach you guys would be warned not to be talking on here how fast you're going to run and who's going to beat who.
Isn't there finals or something this week? Go back to studying and don't drink too much eggnog and eat too many christmas cookies over break!
my coach would definately care that im talking on a board. i would not be surprised if he suspends me a few meets.
Good coach. He probably would rather see his guys do their talking with their feet. Race results and the training done to get them.
Harrison Potter won the 3k this past weekend at the Marietta meet. I wonder if there was any speculation around Harry Potter's victory... wizardry?? It's not out of the question.
I love all this bashing and attention the OAC is getting! Keep it going...
people can always talk on the boards but its what you run on the track that counts!
Vel is the f***in "White Kenyan", he was born and raised in the Rift Valley and is part of the Kalenjin tribe. He is the most talented albino in the history of Kenya. He will be unbeatable on the track thanks to eating ugali everyday!
Vel is a joke. Come on now. He is no Joe Eby. Eby is the man. I mean, even as a coach he took the Gators of Allegheny to the podium and a bronze medal in XC. BA!
why does it seem like the only people posting on the board are mount union runners
