That's the beauty of a message board, we all get to have an opinion. FWIW, in his post-race interview, Kerr said his victory lap was more tiring than the race. Even with the shoving, the field didn't stretch him, it was easy for him

except for a great close was he ever really driving the bus here

Fair enough. I think if it was a straightforward fitness contest with the Ethiopians trading the pace you’re handing it to him. Here he had to make several physical moves, run extra distance and so on. And Barega nearly got Nuguse.
