F - 7 easy
S - 6 easy
S - Intended to run 1.5-2 hours this morning but right forefoot is a little tender for unknown reasons so I only ran 0.4 miles. Feels fine when not running. Hoping it's just tight but likely won't have another opportunity to test it out today, so probably off.
34.5 total probably
Was going to jump straight into a 9 week 5k build before summer marathon training, but realized:
a.) mileage is way down the last few weeks between race taper and illness
b.) the first 9 weeks of the Hanson's plan I'll be using includes a weekly VO2 max workout, so it may be pretty draining to do back to back 9 week VO2 max blocks before the 9 weeks of the marathon strength specific block.
So, instead I'm going to spend a few weeks just building mileage back up, might do just the Daniels Phase 2 portion during the mileage building to work on form/efficiency and prep for the 9 weeks of 5k work in the marathon plan. Will jump in a couple 5ks at random this spring for fun instead of really trying to go for it in one build and race. Since coming back to running in Dec. 2015 I've raced as many marathons as I have 5ks...so that's just silly and needs corrected. Today's foot thing really put a kink in the "building mileage back up", but it's way better than last weeks 7 mile sickness-fest. Practicing patience...
