"Women's sports" might be redefined in a different way. You would think that would simply be a matter for the private sector, but, in the US that's effectively in the hands of the Department of Education Office of Civil Rights (which regulates all school sports through college). And the OCR is firmly in the hands of the transgenderists. You get what you vote for.

She flats out says "there's two different races" insinuating that Semenya and the other girl are cheating because the race was won in 1:56.92.

She then says in the same damn article, I guess all I can hope for is the British Record of 1:56.2!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing you're a guy. Semenya has biological male parts, therefore, she undoubtedly has an unfair advantage over women who don't have male parts. That's just a fact.

Fortunately for men, they never have to feel threatened by female athletes who identify as males competing against the in any event and dominating the field.

If someone beast Caster, then my guess is that they're doped up, which is highly likely with what we've seen coming from Russian and Kenya. Which again, is unfair.

Maybe if Ajee Wilson cared more about winning gold medals, she would have been born with a penis.

I actually don't think this will happen--if there is a sudden surge of intersex/transgender athletes who identify as female into track, then, as others have proposed in this thread, there will be three categories of competition based on testosterone levels--and eventually no stigma attached to any category. All this talk about the "death of women's running" is overblown, in my opinion--its just like the bathroom freakout. People act like its not possible to adjust the rules of sports, or reconfigure public restrooms.

But in any case, back to the original subject of this post, as a big fan of Wilson, I have been concerned about her this year. Her problem doesn't seem psychological, but rather physical to me--maybe a lingering injury issue hampering training?

In fact, I hate to be critical of a whole group of runners, since obviously different circumstances prevail for each, but given the depth of talent of U.S. women 800 runners, I don't understand why there have been no times under 2:00 this year. To me, that speaks of inadequate training and bad racing more than fears of getting beat by an intersex competitor, especially since in the majority of races I've seen, neither Semenya nor Niyonsaba has been a competitor.

Fair-shmair. It's not a race. At all.

Two examples.

Moving easily around the field, then just turn the XY on in the last 100m.

Other than getting paid to make an Olympic final, there's no point for an XX T&F woman to go to Rio. No hope.

XY women is the future though. The IOC and IAAF will love the shattered records and get a tiny boost in visibility.

But you must admit that the adjustment to sport will take time - how much time, who knows? We can guess that it will be a significant amount of time given the bureaucracy of the international federations and governing bodies. In the meantime XX females are losing out on earnings opportunities and for some they may lose out on potential Olympic glory all together. Very serious matters as far as I am concerned.

Any other opinions out there on this scenario?

Secondly, Women should be running below 1:55, but are complacent and want to be victims to a woman that has short hair and muscles, and I'm not talking about Dafne Schippers.

IMHO, I think if an intersex or transgendered Russian, Japanese, etc. athlete showed up and started beating the Dibabas, the IAAF and CAS would be motivated to do something about it.

If she loses in Rio it would be the most extraordinary failure in a decade or more. It would be plain fact that the Olympic event is fixed.

Until an intersexed athlete truly dominates and gets world records, all this talk is BS. Someone linked a video with Caster running 1:58. Big deal. Women the best women should be running these times for the 800, if not 1:55 to 1:56.

You know 1 thing about Caster but assume much more. For men, the 100 record is nearly exactly 50% of the 200. The 200 is 44.4% of the 400, the 400 is 43% of the 800, and the 800 is 49% of the 1500. For women, these percentages are remarkably similar, including 49.7%, 45%, 42%, and 49% respectively, and that 400 to 800 % is based on Kratochvilovas record 1:53.28 (which I assume people know is doped). So for the men, the 400 time is 43% of the 800 and for the women 42%. Anyone running 1:55 to 1:56 should not be considered an outlier even if you have knowledge of them being intersexed.

I see your point. However, I truly believe that Semenya has not gone "all-out" in a race yet. She seems to be content to do just enough to win and not blow the lid off of this whole thing. Keep in mind - she has a financial future to protect as well. It would not make sense for her to drop a 1:50/51 on the field. I doubt that she will even go for the WR because everyone knows that was doped and would still raise suspicion. I anticipate she will do just enough to take the gold at this year's Olympics and cross the line at 1:54 low. That is the smart, financial move to make.

Further to your point, something I posted in another thread earlier:

Comparing the world leading times from men to women from last year:

100m: 10.74 - 9.74 = 10.3%

200m: 21.63 - 19.55 = 10.6%

400m: 49.26 - 43.48 = 13.3% *

800m: 1:56.99 - 1:42.50 = 14.1%

1500m: 3:50.07 - 3:26.69 = 11.3%

3000m: 8:22.22 - 7:34.66 = 10.5%

5000m: 14:14 - 12:53.98 = 10.5%

*Consider that Allyson Felix actually ran a confirmed 47.72 400m relay leg so could likely run ~48.5 in the open 400m, bringing the difference down to 11.5%.

Hopefully you can all see the problem with the women's 800m. Semenya still has an advantage, but the current 800m 'elites' on the women's side are extremely weak. This year it seems the women's 800m is even worse as Eunice Sum is in bad shape and the next fastest female last year was Melissa Bishop in 1:57.52.

I haven't seen any other girls this year that look like they could break 1:57.

It already happened when Caster let Savinova have the gold in London (her case was under review and didn't have a full "green light" to win as it might negatively affect the CAS ruling. Probably a smart move by her coach/agent).

That may be just a rumor.

But in any case, drug-cheat Savinova will most likely have to hand over her gold medal, so Caster is basically already an Olympic Champion.

It's official.....the 800m final will finish 1-2-3 with intersexed females. It will be a spectacular spectacle.
