I think his bib is partially obscuring the swoosh in the upper left (upper right on the camera) of his jersey. His shorts still have the swoosh.

I always feel bad for the Dubai announcer. Just one guy. Every year after it's over I vow to write them and say let me and a buddy do it. We'd have some fun.

When he initially went ahead I thought he might have some crazy nutcase strategy (which would have been epic), but alas.

Is that Kenenisa or the real Adugna Bekele and Kenny drop out?

The first water stop was VERY interesting. Bekele sped up and went to the lead just before they came up to it so he could have a clear shot at his bottle. But he was in the middle of the road and then had to dart over quickly. He seemed to run past it and then tried to go back and get it. Chaos ensued.

I haven't seen him since. I'm not saying he fell or anything, but he went from the lead to the back of the pack. Has anyone seen him?

This part of Dubai looks like Mexico City.

Don't know if he for sure dropped out, the website removed the 5 km leaderboard and there were so many in the lead pack you couldn't see them all. If he missed his water bottle he may be sitting way in the back of the pack out of sight right now.

Announcer just said bekele is in the pack

I think I caught a glimpse of Bekele there towards the back of the pack.
