2014 IAAF World Half Marathon Results

She did kind of run her own race. They surged in the early miles and she let the lead pack go and then caught back up to them.
Then she was with the lead pack of about 6 and was dropped but did pass one lady in the last four or five miles to move from 4th to 3rd.
She ran a smart race. You cannot expect someone to run alone for most of the race and PR by 14 minutes. She was smart to go with the pack even though they went out a little too fast.
I'm a big fan of hers, and I'm really glad to see her have a nice race. It'll be good to watch her progression over the next few years.
After reading a little article about her, it's good to see that she's focused her running a bit and seems to love what she's doing. She could've easily packed it in after college, but she stuck with it. Good stuff.
And yeah, she's really cute and funny.

I can't for her to get another shot at a marathon. Hopefully cooler temps.

If she had gone out in 1:13:30 instead of 1:12:30 she probably wins it.
She ran 1:12:12 at the US HM Championship. She's one of the rare athletes who can double her HM time +4-6 min.. If only our men in the 1:00-03 range could do the same, we'd have more under 2:10.
