Saying it's "loaded with BPA" is way too strong, but it's another point in favor of frozen or fresh.
I can't imagine why I would ever buy canned corn. We are no longer in WW2. They have this stuff in the stores called corn. I think it's in pretty much every state.
For use in quickly preparing some dishes. Most people who buy canned corn probably use it as a mixer. Its a lot quicker than shaving the kernels off yourself after boiling the corn.

You probably can't get decent fresh corn most places during most of the year. It's not something like apples that refrigerate well. Which, for me, leaves frozen most of the year.
There are two types of sweet corn used for both canned and frozen. Traditional sweet corn and a variety called supersweet. A kernal of supersweet is larger, more golden, and has more natural sugar. Del Monte uses supersweet. So does some private label and Libby's. Green Giant does not use supersweet.
As for frozen vs. canned. There is often very little difference in taste and crispness. One thing to consider is that frozen products in general are much less friendly to the environment. They require much more energy to pack, ship, and keep in stock at your local store.
You have failed to list Santiam brand, although it is perhaps considered a regional (West Coast [Oregon]) brand.
Okay, now for a news flash! I used to work in a cannery and was in charge of making sure the boxes / cans stayed in order. Every so often the foreman whould holler "stop the presses" The line would stop and I would change the boxes / cans from name brand to store brand / generic. There you have it: Name brand and store brand / generic are the same! You heard it here first! Not sure what this has to do with running? I did run a couple miles during lunch. Does that make this any better? Maybe we can change this to a how much do you run during lunch thread?
