The UCI course was claimed to be 40 seconds short, but still a solid time especially for this time of year.

I second the notion of Ryan Place of Allegheny College. He is definitely a top threat after finishing 6th in XC nats last year and also running in the 5k in track. If he stays healthy he has as good a shot as anybody. In addition, Kosgei from Hamilton College, Abdullah from NYU, any number of UW-pick the branch have got a good shot.

scott lasch from heidelberg...he led nationals last year for a little bit. of course that was before he realized he was an idiot and couldn't hold the pace. maybe if you trip enough people without getting caught like usual, you may just have a chance.
