I don't think people realize how insane this is. It would be one thing if she or anyone else was doing this in their own bubble infested with their own thoughts. But both of them working together and never questioning the other on how crazy they are is on the highest level of shamelessness.
This Wikipedia behavior doesn't surprise me, remember when Camille and Derek Murphy worked together accusing Ashley Paulson of cheating in Badwater 135 where they intentionally left out many historical race splits?
Noteworthy timing: Camille and her husband’s Wikipedia account was banned in February, and they used their new account to make changes to Courtney Dauwalter’s page that same month. That timing is relevant because it’s also the same month that Ultra Running Magazine published an article on Dauwalter as their 2023 Ultrarunner of the Year. Looks like Camille and her husband couldn’t handle the recognition being given to someone else.

And I think we have to be careful not to play amateur psychologist (or at least I do) but how do you do it in a way that's so easily trackable? Like she wanted to have the other people know it was her? So weird.

I also read recently that she accuses anyone who has broken one of her records of cheating.
she’s always been quick to call out others for cheating, but it always seems to be with a “I’m just getting rid of competition” attitude rather than one that seemed like she genuinely wanted protection of ultra running integrity. She never struck me as a team player either. Whenever Dauwalter has broken a record or any other woman has accomplished something of significance, I’ve noticed many fellow competitors will congratulate them on social media or post to instagram stories to praise them, but there’s always radio silence on Camille’s end. However, whenever Camille runs a race, suddenly her social media is flooded with the “I am the queen on ultras” attitude. I can’t say I’m surprised with the Wikipedia edits at this point.
Her pinned Tweet says "There's terminology, Tall Poppy Syndrome, where somebody who stands out, esp. a woman, people resent that. They want to cut down the Tall Poppy to be at the same level as others."
Reminds me of the time similar things were going on concerning the Wikipedia page of Lindsey Scherf. Wikipedia can be a Wild Wild West of information and disinformation.

Pretty sure it wasn't intentionally "so easily trackable." I think they thought they were being discrete/anonymous and didn't consider IP address tracking:

The edits have been traced back to Herron’s email and Holt’s IP address.
The couple has been operating under the username “Rundbowie” since February 2024, after their previous Wikipedia account, “Temporun73,” was temporarily banned for violating Wikipedia’s conflict of interest policies for the edits to Herron’s page. Just hours after Temporun73 was banned, a new account under the name “Rundbowie” was created and resumed activity, making edits to Herron’s page and to those of other athletes.
