Yes, it's an issue. It's the onesies. It isn't the women's kit, it's the men's kit. And the golden one is OK, it's the blue ones. I agree, they're not very nice. If the bottom half was black I don't think there would be a problem. It's a shame because the colours are actually quite nice, for example if you look at what Bor was wearing (he was wearing a vest and shorts, the shorts are a dark blue green). Actually even the separate Nike cycling shorts are bad, not just the onesies.
The 2022 Nike kit must be changed. As a photographer, I have been forced to toss so many images because they are not suitable for public consumption. The male kits are terrible and it's virtually impossible to get a shot that doesn't look obscene. I don't know who's idea this was, but they should be fired immediately.
Men's kits are a bit different. They have three options to choose from: 1. speedsuit 2. top+shorts 3. top+half tights. The problem might be that the top stripes are horizontal and the half tight stripes are vertical. Same thing with the men's speedsuit. The shorts are solid color.
Men's kit has three colors, while women's has two.
Women's kit stripes are horizontal (both top+low and even speedsuit).

Agree. I think it’s the thickness of the material maybe. The design of the women’s bodysuit (ref Keely Hodgkinson) is actually quite nice. It’s the thickness that seems to be at issue, as the material isn’t sitting ‘right’.
Btw, do Olympic Champions sponsored by Nike wear different than the rest Nike athletes colors, which is dark/olive green? From Pre Classic: Jakob, Faith Kipyegon, Elaine Thompson-Herah?
The material looks cool up close, but reads terribly from a distance, i.e. on camera. The pattern just blends together into weird between colors that I don't think are intended. Germany's were the worst if I remember right, blending into some ugly beige-mustard color. At least the US uniforms blend to a reddish purple, but they still look pretty bad. It's surprising that Nike wouldn't put more thought into how the uniforms read on screen.
lol DVGregori with the 119 followers on Instagram. Your issue has always been there with speed suits.
Anyway, the Nike kit sucks because it is boring. Blue for the boys, red for the girls. Hardly elite.
You do realize that Instagram is not the only place where images go, don't you, especially when shooting for someone else? Typical LRC where there cannot be a response without trying to tear someone down.
Only 5 superstar newspaper photographers receive $600,000 Toyota USA stipends for #TeamUSA T&F and Marathon pictures at the Summer Olympics every 4 years

Track and Field is an afterthought to Nike. Their best designers are not working on Track and Field competition kits, they're working on mass market items that can drive volume. New Balance is a running focused company and you can tell because they actually seem to put some amount of thought into the apparel their professional athletes wear for racing from both a practical and aesthetic standpoint. If Nike cared, they'd offer multiple styles for their athletes to choose from that actually look good versus one kit that leads to races where almost all competitors are wearing the exact gross uniform. At least NN running team has unique kits that look decent, but again they're all the same. I do't understand why they didn't just offer black shorts for all the kits. Black shorts go with basically any color top. End of the day, it's down to the money and clearly Nike doesn't budget much for their track athletes on the kit side of things.

honestly, really appreciate the photos you've been sharing. can't afford the gear you have.
anyway, coming from cycling gotta say these kits are a weird blend of looking pro yet amateur at the same time.
all they need to do is a put a really thin insert/pad in the crotch region. doesn't need to be a diaper like some $500 assos cycling bibs. just a very very thin one, similar to what triathletes use.
on top of that, they need to dial the actual fit down so it doesn't bunch up and get all wrinkled. otherwise they may as well wear a kit like NB provided for Trayvon Bromell, which had a perfect unpretentious all-business hybrid classic/contemporary (singlet w/tights) vibe to it. NB nailed it.
