Agreed.
Can we have a third?
I believe I asked for a third.
If you turn his posts/information into a site you'll want to obtain permission from him as well as Letsrun.
another bump

I'm thinking of compiling all of Renato Canova's training information into a website, how many of you would be interested in that sort of thing?
Sounds great, Mike. Thanks.
I believe Mr. Canova has already requested, i.e. and given his permission, that his training be posted on web sites.
Thoughts, Mike?

Yea I like this idea. Give me more idea though on the site.
It should have background info on Renato Canova, links to threads on letsrun about him, his training info, the athletes he has and results. Training programs for elites and programs he suggests for runners of normal speed. I can also have similar info for other coaches that are good, like Antonio Cabral and stuff. I can have a forum there where the coaches post, and it's about distance training only, not random running stuff. I'd like to make a site that focuses on top trainign methods for distance runnign, u like? What ideas u got? :p?

Mike, I think your ideas are great as you have written them.
I have tried e-mailing Renato before twice and never got a response, so I do not know how helpful he would be, but you could always do another unauthorized site like you did for El G (look how much success you had with that one!).
great thread but.... could you possible blow renato any harder?

Hi little boy. Did your mother accidentally allow you to wander onto her PC?
When you graduate middle school, perhaps consider returning to the discussion. Based on the level of intelligence present in your post, I think we might be waiting a while.
Gav, I'm suprised to hear this from you! What is wrong with my idea?
Mike, don't be surprised.
As Renato said quite astutely once, the mother of morons is always pregnant.
Dude that quote was ultimate!
I'm thinking again of asking Renato Canova if we can make a training website in the future. I have many possible new website projects to work on. My only running website so far is Kingofthemile.com
Possible new projects for me...
-Kenenisa Bekele website
-Alan Webb website
-Distance Running coaching/training website
-Tilastopaja.net & Arrs.net athlete race history combo website
-Renato Canova training website
-Southern California racing website
I don't know if I should do a Bekele or Webb website, because once I start I HAVE to finish it for the rest of their career, and there is already a great Bekele website. I couldn't do the new athlete race history site because the other 2 webmasters weren't as keen on it. I don't feel like doing a Socal racing website right now, I prefer elites.
The Distance running coaching/training website and the Renato Canova coaching/training website are the top choices. But the top choice for a new website would be about Renato Canova and his training methods and athletes. I should ask Renato about this! What do you think?
p.s. I'll update the Renato Canova threads thread this month sometime with all the new threads
Lots of cool & interesting info on this thread. Nice job, thanks.
michael,
the canova site is a great idea. would you break it up into sections: generalized information and training? marathon specific? physiology?
thanks for all your help. very, very cool of you to do all that work.
I'm not sure yet what it could be like. I should ask him for info! What is your suggestion?
i think that most would be interested in a general-to-specific outline: yearly generalized training, with attention to the hows and whys of the physiological reasoning behind particular workouts within the general cycle; specific training, including races from 1500 to marathon, including the same type of physiological info.
or is that too greedy?
but, that being said, i suppose that we could all go out and order his marathon book from the iaaf.
thanks again for all your work.
You could work with Renato on a book?
Perhaps an ebook that could be downloaded from the net.
