Edith Masai in one of the best female athletes Kenya has for a long time. It is obvious that Kenya suffers from the drought female runners in the 3K, 5K and 10K catagories. But Edith Masai and Isabela Ochichi are the exceptions. Edith is more of a specialist on XC where as Isabela is in Road races and tracks. But the truth is young Ethiopian female runners have been dominating those catagories for a long time and Edith, 37?, might have a bit of difficult time fending off the Ethiopians like D Tulu, B Adare, E Dibaba, W Kidane, etc.
In any case good luck Edith!
The IAAF made fatal mistake of giving too much power via voting to Africa. They have proportionally way more votes than Europe and the IAAF pander to them. Do they go there to do out of comp testing , can they test samples there.... you decide
when will ethiopia and kenya announce who they are sending to helsinki for worlds in each event. the ethiopians i do not believe are using drugs, simple reason, except for the few top stars they cant afford it, the average family in ethiopia makes 108 usa dollars a year, when balco has the clients they have from football, baseball etc. it would be ridiculous to try to sell illegal stuff to people that have no money.
