Anyone have enough long term experience with either of these shoes to comment on their utility?

...right. Like anyone liked these crappy shoes enough to use them "long term." They blow...
I'm on my second pair of Loco Banditos. Great shoes. Tough, good forefoot cushioning. At about 10 oz they are on the lighter side of most trainers. And the price is great. I will keep buying them.
I dumped my Vitruvians because I got tired of running in something so heavy - hopefully if they release a flat someone will mention it here.
Didn't replace the Banditos after retirement because I found their forefoot cushioning inadequate for me on long, faster paced (like MP) runs - for just a few bucks more my favorite flats are lighter, cushier, and more durable.
The Loco reps I met at expos were nice enough, and my Banditos were okay, worth the money. But they were nothing special (the shoes), and the design and innovation were minimal. A leather and fabric upper on top of a slab of foam. They were manufactured in Red China, which defeated the whole point of the company, it seemed to me. "We'll job the work out to the Far East and we won't change them for five years. We promise."
This is not a case study for the Harvard Business School. I'd rather go to those Hersey eccentrics in Maine, or spend 175.00 for Newtons, which at least are nice-looking.

I bought a couple of pairs of banditos. They were great and lasted forever. They broke down very subtly and I probably used them twice as long as I should have. I'm on my second pair now.
