I graduated college in 2016. PRs of 4:20 (mile) 15:00 (5K) and 31:30 (10K). Averaged about 80 miles per week, most I ever ran in a week was 94.
After college, I've run somewhat consistently, running a few races here and there and a couple of marathons. Ran 2:41 in February 2017 off of about 55 miles/week. Training just wasn't a huge priority. Starting last spring, I really started to get the itch to really chase some goals. I've always been one to set unrealistic goals, so I thought: could I run 2:19 and qualify for the Trials in the Marathon?
I'm up to about 85/week right now and plan on moving up into the 100-110/week range by January. I've signed up for Boston in April, and have set a goal of 2:27, and then I would run a flat course in November 2019 to goal after 2:19.
I know that these goals are NOT LIKELY, but are they IMPOSSIBLE?
