Hi All,

I have a family member who has passed, was always very passionate about running but never told many stories.

When there stories once or twice there was mention of running with Shorter, which obviously caught my attention.

Anyways, I'm really curious to learn a bit more and was curious if anyone had any links to old marathon results from these times? I have tried searching but haven't found much.

I'm hesitant to give the family members name on this board due to... well it's Letsrun.

You might get some success going through Runner's World. They and Running Times had race results from all over and RW even had great articles on races.

Also, is there a local club (to his locality) that might have information? If the club was around then there might be some old timers who have stories and/or race results.

I'm part of a club that has been around for about 45 years. Some of the older guys have stories and a couple guys even have race results from back in the 70's.

Good luck- I love the history aspect of this great sport.
