there's been a lot of talk about fox going to boston for the reebok gig but i've heard a couple different times that andy and maurica powell are looking into it for the chance to return back home to massachusetts. that would really stir up the pot and start the domino effect
Reebok would have to offer a small fortune for the Powells to leave the nucleus of track in the US.
Reebok would literally have to pay $400k to make the deal match UO compensation. Not happening.

I dont have recent insight as to where this job search has headed, but $400k may not be out of the realm. Reebok is throwing a ton of money at the Boston group.
Initial leaks had a prominent pro coach in discussions for a possible $300k salary.
What seems most surprising is that Reebok is well underway building a roster without announcing a coach.
For anyone looking to be abused...
I have to wonder what the AD is thinking. They are going to get a total of zero applicants who will have the skill set to coach cross country and run a speed development program for all other sports at a Division I level. For you young guys looking to pursue a career in this sport, stay away from this one.
Tim seems like a good guy but anyone know why they are moving on from current distance coach? Guys seemed to be running well indoors.

The previous men's head coach/director of the overall XC/TF program essentially retired in June 2017 after 50 years at the helm. They had been looking for his replacement as the head men's distance coach ever since. They hired John Murray as the assistant distance coach in January

The only full time job I've seen posted in the last couple weeks is the Head Coach of UT Tyler. Poor pay for a school that is transitioning to DII and is going to be far outclassed by the A&M satellite schools in West Texas, Kingsville, and Commerce.
Word is that Harvey at Belmont in Nashville is moving on.
Where’s he going?
Any idea what is going on with Iona? Will Joe Pienta get the permanent director position?
Belmont coach being let go?

Already a done deal like 2 months ago. Joe is taking over
Belmont what wrote:

Director/Head coach let go?
Or Associate/Assistant coach gone?
Wouldn't be surprised, meager recruiting class and a lot of big-name athletes graduating. Now seems like a good time to be moving on.
