Bumping this. Any other TPU shoes out there that you know of?
Apparently, the Nike 4% and the Reebok Floatride Run are each made of something lighter than TPU, but with the same energy return. Marketing? Maybe.
The forthcoming Altra Vanish has a TPU/Carbon plate in a 3.9oz (THREE POINT NINE OUNCE) racing flat. Color me excited.
I CANNOT WAIT for the Vanish. 3.9 oz. Awesome.
Have you heard of the Solstice by Altra?
Speaking of TPU, I don’t see a reason to go beyond the Escalante. Fits my foot like a glove, and it’s flexible, zero drop, perfect toe box, and fairly light. Best shoe that I ever purchased. Worth every penny.
Although the Topo ST-2, while not TPU, is becoming one of my favorites as well.
