# of multi-page threads should be multiplied by the fraction of posts written by other people. Some posters account for 5 posts on a page of 20 and constantly bump their own threads. For example, if OP started five 100-post threads and never replied on any of them, it would be worth a 5x.99. If they posted 15 times on average, it should only be worth 5 x .85. Also, "Official [major running event] discussion thread" should not count.

Likely by far the most prolific posters are not registered, and many post under a variety of socks. You should analyze the unregistered handles, including those that tend to appear at the same time of day, to figure out which socks are the same people, then you can count their lower-bound stats.

My personal stats show I posted 1,987 times under 789 unique names. I'm annointing myself a solid second place.

I get in arguments with a staffer about this. When we were at the Olympic Trials, I said one night as I went to bed, "I promise you t his thread I'm starting will be super hot when I wake up. I know what people like to read."

He said it's not fair as I have name recognition and at least 30% of the visitors hate me and will click on a thread I start. That's true but shouldn't I get credit for developing a brand around my name.

I'm thinking of starting a thread rihgt now about an article I read at lunch but may do it under a fake name which I don't like to do as it's a bit out there. We shall see.

If you post here hundreds+ times a year, you understand what will get people excited.

Good idea - I'd like to see ^^^ but with those who start their own threads less frequently... (more than never - less than 10(?) in a year.
