sub 4:40. The mind is more important than the legs!
Taking more prediction. Also it was a female who ran this workout.

Are you serious. Maybe for 10x400 consecutively. Not for 3x4x400 with long rest every 4.
There are only basically 9 reps in this set where the runner isn't starting fresh. You can always hammer the last rep knowing you have a 3-4 minute shuffle or track collapse waiting for you. So basically there are 6 reps here that mean anything.
Nice workout but runners will be faster than mile pace on this one.

Agree
No doubt the athlete isn't going to run 68's for the race. Except if they truly did this by themselves and no coach was there. If they are in a fast race and get pulled 4:34-4:36.
Its easy to say what they won't do, if you don't say what they will do.

You guys are all nuts. This is a fine mile workout. The 400 jog is only about 2m.
I'd give you 4:40

Nobody said it isn't a fine mile workout. It just isn't a mile PACE workout. With the 400 jog every four reps any athlete should be able to do this MUCH faster than their mile pace.
400 jog/rest in 2:00? BS. I have seen enough "400 jog" recoveries to know that the typical 400m of standing sucking wind, walking, jogging, stretching, getting water, jogging, and standing around is NEVER done in under 2:00. More like 3:00 usually.

This is all very interesting, except for the part where you don't predict a time. And you don't know anything about the runner (except that she's female). And you kind of sound like an old wanker.
I'd expect to run around 4:30-35 off this workout. But I know people who couldn't expect better than 4:45 off this workout.
Fastest: 4:35 Slowest: 4:50
This looks like a workout that Hudson guy would do and if this is him then I will say 4:55
If this workout was hard, I give you 4:50. If it was easy, 4:30-4:35.
9*300. 60 secs rest
