Week nine into the Daniels 2Q 56-70mpw program. First time using it.Training has been tough but absent shaving a mile off a T or M run I've completed all the workouts so far. M pace has been within 5 seconds of target and T within 10 seconds. Today the wheels came off and I couldn't run one lap on the track at T pace whereas last week I ran 6 miles on the road at T. Maybe I'm sick or allergies or something but my legs are sore, tight and I can't run fast. But I've noticed the fatigue building the past few weeks and can't say I'm surprised.
So I feel like I have two options a) run easy for a week and hop back into the workouts in a week or b) quitting the 2Q program and trying something more progressive based like Hudson or McMillan where there isn't as much emphasis on the second workout and tempo/goal pace workouts progress more gradually.
Any advice appreciated, including whether this is normal for those who follow Daniels marathon programs.
Stats - 41, recent PRs of 18:39, 1:25, and 2:58 on close to 55-60 avg mpw.
