The USA's Pan American Junior Team (U-20) just ran a new world junior record in the 4 x 400 meter relay. The Team consisted of 16 year old high school sophomore (rising junior) Brian Herron who ran a 45.1 split on lead off, Zach Shinnich (18 yr old) (Headed to USC), the US Junior Champion who split 44.9, Sean Hooper (headed to Texas Tech) who split 45.0 and Josephus Lyles who ran anchor leg and led the team to a world record time of 3:00.33!!!. This broke the old record of 3:01.09!
