Should the government require that fake news "mass media outlets" put a "fake news" banner at the bottom of the screen? There should be something. Seems too easy to influence the population otherwise.
CNN media reporter Brian Stelter can't get answers from his own PR dept. Also, the natives are restless about the hi-level smack-down re: Russia.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DDN3w6oXgAAcrIW.jpgThe restrictions on use of social media when it comes to “Russia-related content,†as revealed in the leaked memo, are also infuriating many CNN editorial staff who do not like the constricting nature of Zucker’s management.

They are not lefitsts, idiot. Trying to launch a war with Russia is about as right wing as you can get.
Calling them leftists only does them and the Democrats a yuuuuge favor by helping them sheepdog the real left into their corrupt party. Now you know. Don't forget.
Has Breitbart or Fox ever issued an apology for false reports or even attempted to ensure the integrity of its news?

Hannity has apologized multiple times, though not always with the same publicity or on the same forum where he promulgated lies. So it is certainly the case that "Fox" has apologized, and more than once...though it would be nice if they had a better procedure for vetting stories *before* spreading lies.
I am not a regular consumer of Breitbart. I don't know of any times that they have apologized for one of their lies (which, after all, are kind of their stock in trade), but they may well have done so. Hell, even *Alex Jones* apologized for spreading the Pizzagate lie, so why not Breitbart? It's certainly possible.
I'm not quite understanding the conclusion here...a poorly-vetted piece was published on CNN, and after it had to be retracted, the "high brass" told everyone that they need to review Russia-related content. Wouldn't this indicate that CNN leadership is attempting to prevent further "fake news"/"hit pieces" from being published by providing more oversight?
Sayanora!
http://money.cnn.com/2017/06/26/media/cnn-announcement-retracted-article/index.htmlThomas Frank, who wrote the story in question; Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the unit; and Lex Haris, who oversaw the unit, have all left CNN.
"In the aftermath of the retraction of a story published on CNN.com, CNN has accepted the resignations of the employees involved in the story's publication," a spokesman said Monday evening.
An internal investigation by CNN management found that some standard editorial processes were not followed when the article was published, people briefed on the results of the investigation said.
The story, which reported that Congress was investigating a "Russian investment fund with ties to Trump officials," cited a single anonymous source.
"...in a credibilty death spiral..."
The propaganda machine is coming apart. Interesting times, indeed.
I don't know if it is inherent to continually lie, or if these people are truly delusional. But, to reach the level of leading a mass-propaganda machine that reaches millions of people, one is probably clinically psychopathic.
Donald J. Trump, Jr. (Trustee of Donald J. Trump's business empire)
“The hypocrisy at CNN is astounding. Facing the biggest fake news scandal in the network’s history after an embarrassing retraction, nobody from the network is answering questions–even to their own reporters–and they have the audacity to demand on-camera press briefings from the White House to boost their ratings and make their personalities famous? Maybe Jeff Zucker should do an on-camera press briefing about CNN’s fake news scandal before the White House does any more of them.â€
Jeff Zucker is probably ranked somewhere within the top 20 (maybe even top 10) most dangerous Americans. The power he has and anti-America and anti-truth campaigns he wages through his network every day are just disgusting.

Basically, it's some likely Koch-funded guy offering $10000 as rat money (NB: Info-Wars probably pays more!)
"The (Project Veritas) audio was secretly recorded in 2009 by an anonymous source inside CNN's Atlanta headquarters who we are identifying as Miss X. The tapes contain soundbites from current and previous CNN employees Joe Sterling, Arthur Brice, and Nicky Robertson, as well as numerous others. Project Veritas is also offering a $10,000 award for content that exposes media malfeasance," according to 'Project Veritas.'
"Project Veritas is determined to expose malfeasance, corruption and wrongdoing," said Project Veritas founder and president James O'Keefe. "We want to become a destination where citizen journalists can come forward, work with us and make a real impact. That's why today, we're announcing a $10,000 award for anyone that comes forward with legally obtained materials exposing media malfeasance. If you have hidden audio recordings, video tapes or documents inside of a news room or media institution, and the material is good enough, I will pay you $10,000."
Where is that red/white drink container from (0:22 of video, in snapshot)?
