Wow, 8:34 for a freshman (Quincy Norman). Isn't that close to a record?
The 9:42 8th grader useful as well.
Obviously read it wrong. The 8 was for place, not grade. Feel free to pile on anyways, just like the Cavs did to the Celtics.

Someone's still salty.
That time would have been 8th last year though
Just to make sure everyone's reading things right, in each of the 3k lists, from left to right, the columns read:
Finishing position -- Name -- Grade -- High school -- Finishing time -- Points for team scoring.
Which means a freshman, Alexis Kebbe, finished third in the girls' race and a freshman, Quincy Norman, finished second in the boys' race.
And note that four sophs scored in the girls' race (including Makenna Schumacher, the winner), and all of the top five boys will potentially be back next year (including Joshua Schumacher, the winner).
Quincy is a Freshman. According to best of Dyestat from 1999-present, his time would rank as the 3rd fastest 3,000 during that period for a freshman. Besting Schumacher's time at that grade level. Very impressive.

How many badger miles does he have the kiddos doing?
Props to Oregon for running an even more meaningless distance for HS boys than the 3200. Let me bust out my calculator.
I guess all that really matters is his time at Arcadia, though.
At least the 3k is a recognized internationally and collegiately competed event. The 3200 is a joke.
I was at a middle school race last week and saw Bob Kennedy's 7th grade daughter run a 5:30.
I was in Brazil last summer and saw Matt Centrowitz' son run a 3:50 1500.
Should also be noted that both got beat in the 1500. There's some other young talent that should be recognized.
Sooooo Funny

+10
The 9:42 performances equivalent to a 10:22 3200 if anyone is dying to know. Pretty insane.
The 8:29 is equivalent to 9:03. In my opinion impressive but not earthshaking.
Mark my words, with Makennas speed and her growing endurance, she is quickly becoming a threat to win big national titles. I watched her at her league meet. I've never seen her in this good of shape before. She looked effortless- no one could have caught her that day.
Does make you feel bad for Stratton though- sliding from 2nd at NXN to 8th at the State Meet has got to sting. I'm confident that she'll come back stronger in the fall like she always does though.
