Diagnosed with hip arthritis back in September cuz of hamstring pain. Had hip MRI as doc thought cause was from hip and it showed much arthritis and cysts. Ortho said hamstring pain due to compensation--some other body part had to take shock absorption (knees, back, hammy etc). Too much arthritis and too old for surgery he said . Did pt and took off six weeks from running and got hammy to low grade pain. I spent the last six months doing all kinds of strengthening. Fast forward to present and my hamstring imploded and I have serious butt pain for over two weeks now. Serious pain or spasms. No Boston for me. Ortho gave me cortisone in butt but still have serious hammy and butt pain. You guys think ortho is right that the hammy and butt pain is caused by hip. I HAVE NEVER HAD HIP PAIN ever.
How do I get rid of this pain. It seems so acute. Graston, dry needling, massage, ice, ultrasound have not made a dent.
Thanks
