Can I wear a shirt that says "Vegan" if I occasionally eat chicken eggs? I dont eat the yolk if that matters.

I am SICK of people misusing the word VEGAN. Vegan means that you do not USE animal products, not just that you do not EAT them. Get it out of your sick little HEAD that you are a VEGAN because you don't EAT meat.

It might be funny if you wore a t shirt that said vegan around people who knew you didnt strictly adhere to the vegan lifestyle. I say go for it.
Most chicken eggs are infertile. So what are we supposed to do just waste all that delicious and nutritious stuff that will never be a chicken anyway. I mean I have a dozen chickens and I am not throwing the eggs away. So, I guess that makes me a vegan, even if I do it meat almost everyday.
Where do I get the shirt?

Maybe if it is a woolen shirt.
as long as you let everyone you see know that you occasionally eat them
If you left them the chickens would likely eat them and recoup nutrients that way.

Nope. You're barely vegetarian. You could wear a shirt that days "part-time vegetarian."
Look we get it. Quit trolling. If you dislike vegetarianism and veganism, just Pay homage to your elders and get this shirt:

That's a good idea. I'm going to wear a t-shirt that says "Vegan" next time I'm at the steakhouse.
It's okay, but only if you spank yourself afterwards.
Yes, but you have to have a disclaimer at the bottom that says you "occasionally eat chicken eggs"
the shirt must be woven from the finest pubic hair
You probably shouldn't wear a shirt that says "Vegan" even if you actually are one.

What a clever form of irony. How long did it take you to brainstorm that one?

Watch out kids, this is what not eating meat can do to a person.
Do vegans have a mental disorder? If there were no option but to eat or use animal products, would they simply choose to die instead? Are they self loathing and suicidal?
Say I own a cashmere goat and look after it well. I feed the goat the best food, give it somewhere safe to live and raise its young.
In the winter, it grows a long coat. When the weather starts turning mild, I give it a haircut. I put that hair into some lovely cashmere pillows.
Have I harmed the goat?
In the spring it produces milk to feed it's young. It produces lots and lots of this milk. I milk it by hand and keep some bottles in the fridge for my cereal. The happy goat skips off to eat some more grass.
Have I harmed the goat?
I think you must be mentally ill to think I have.
Hi, as a vegan, I don't believe that I have a mental disorder.
To answer your question, let's start with a scenario where the two of us were stuck on an island with no food a couple non-human animals. If there were no plants available on the island, I would gladly kill and eat the non-human animals and even kill and eat you if it meant I had to survive. This scenario is a matter of survival.
Presuming you live in North America, you will probably never come across a scenario like that. I imagine you go to Wal-Mart where there is a plethora of food available. In our society, it easily possible for a human to live a fully healthy life without consuming meat or dairy products; actually one can live a healthier life with a lower chance of disease and illness by avoiding animal products. By avoiding eating animal products we can drastically reduce our green house gas emissions, and reduce the harm and suffering which we cause towards animals. There is no way to humanely murder a sentient being, and the dairy industry abuses animals(mainly cows) by constantly keeping them pregnant(by rape) to continue their milk production.
Finally, do I think you giving a goat a hair cut is inhumane? In my opinion, no, but only if you are not harming the goat in any way.
Do I think you taking some milk from a goat is inhumane? I think it is rather gross, but no, I do not think it is inhumane as long as you allow the kids to consume the necessary amount of milk that they desire.
I believe you are misconstruing the difference between the industries which use non-human animals to make a profit, and you doing something in your backyard. I would recommend watching the documentary, "Earthlings," you will learn a little more about the difference between your backyard goat, and factory farms.
If you are pro life you can't ware the shirt. If you are pro choice there is room for discussion
OKay I bought the shirt at the mall yesterday I haven't taken it off yet. I'm going to slowly eat all the animal products in my fridge so they dont go to waste but I think i'll continue to eat egg whites at it's not actually part of an animal. It feels so good to be a vegan now.
