Ok, I know I should stop running. But Boston is in 4 weeks and it's my first. Problem is that I strained/stressed my lower left leg about 4 weeks ago doing some weight work. I am still running, and just ran a half yesterday. I have been averaging 60+ miles per week. Problem is that when I first start running my leg hurts like hell. It usually takes 4-5 miles to get "comfortably" numb. I can man up and do this, but the soreness seems to be getting worse and I need to take some time off. Question is, has anyone ever run through intense pain during an important training season, and with only a month to go taken time off? Any ideas other than quit running and forget Boston because that is not happening. My goal time was a 3:10. Now I just want to finish.
