Has anyone here had success training for races between 10k and half marathon using the Jack Daniels Gold Plan?
The JD book says the plan works well across all race distances short of a marathon. The workouts in this plan are focused on shorter repetitions (1k repeats or less) with no longer T pace runs (i.e. 20 - 30 min T). I worry that this plan is more suitable for a 5k or just "general fitness" and that it is sub-optimized for longer road races (10k - half).
For reference, the goal times for my training group are 34 - 37 min for 10k and 1:18 - 1:24 for the half.
