It's too cold here. My parents say the will support me if I promise to settle down by the time I am 28.

You can probably support yourself if you try.
Phoenix blows donkey dik for about 6 months of the year. Sedona, Prescott, Flagstaff, Tuscon are all better.

Train as what?
San Diego is pretty expensive.
That's ideal. Go for you dream. Boris, Kovacs, Brenda found theirs in the Southwestern USA.

Too cold? Get a treadmill or a gym membership. Running only takes an hour or two per day. That's plenty of time left for a job. Don't bum off your parents.

This. OP probably isn't an NCAA champ who destroyed his field.
OP, it doesn't get that much better unless you were born with an AMAZING engine. That would be obvious.
HOWEVER, I believe there to be a new hobby jogging opportunity if you can attract a big enough audience while doing your above national average times and international elite probably destroying you. That is 99% sales and developing/possessing the ability to attract an audience.
Phoenix would be great if you want to not train for 5 months every year.

San Diego is expensive so bring a few teammates & rent a place out. Great weather & places to do all types of workouts! Good luck.

i always thought phoenix was pretty pleasant at 5 am on summer mornings. pretty sweet to get 10 or 15 at south mountain in the twilight in that dry heat. nothing like effin south texas/gulf coast.
Jose Montana and Carlos Rey live in So Cal.
I hear ya. Every winter I dream of living somewhere else so I don't have to dress in 3 layers to run outside or do my long runs on the treadmill.
I've spent a lot of time in both Phoenix and San Diego and if you are moving specifically to train, DO NOT move to Phoenix. Especially coming from a cold climate; you will just end up running on the treadmill in the summer because trust me, you cannot run outside. San Diego is so amazing though, for running and everything else. I would move there 100% if I could.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
