Good afternoon to all @ LetsRun :)
Some of you might know me, some others don't but I used to post quite a lot till a few months ago, however I had abruptly stopped due to many things happening within my life (personal) at once which restricted my time to post on this great running forum.
That said, my training has been quite consistent, and my achilles pain (those who might remember) has completely disappeared.
This week has been quite stellar for me and consisted of;
Monday; Easy 50' @ 4'50"/km + 5 x 30" strides/30" easy jogging
Tuesday: 3k warm up + dynamic stretching + drills. 8k in 28'37" (3'35"/km pace). 5' jogging & 1k in 3'08"
Wednesday: Off (coaching) just jogged around a few laps at the track
Thursday: 3k warm up + dynamic stretching + drills + 5 x 100m strides. Main session: 8 x 1k @ 3'20"/18"/17"/15"/17"/14"/14"/10" w/50/60" standing recovery. 4k cool down.
Friday: Planning a 10/2k very easy run with one of my athletes this evening.
Saturday: 20' + 1k @ 3'20" + 500m @ 1'30" + 3 x 200m in 33" (to be done first thing in the morning before breakfast. Resting all day long.
Sunday: 5k time trial (I am really hoping to run sub 17') 3 weeks ago I ran 17'08" for this same route (solo & unpaced.)
I will be posting daily (or almost) and shall keep this as my official online running blog :)
Nice weekend everyone,
Darren
