Is anyone here getting it? How would it be for running, compared to something like my Garmin Vivoactive HR?

Here is comparison of Apple Watch 2, Vivoactive, and other smart/GPS watched. My guess is that it won't be long before Garmin releases a App equivalent for the Apple Watch--as well as Droid-based. Garmin already sells a map app for Apple devices.
The main difference is altimeter, but my experience is the data is not reliable and is really just barometric pressure used to calculate altitude (pretending to be GPS elevation).

What do you mean by an app equivalent? Like Garmin Connect for the Apple Watch, an app store of their own, or a new Garmin watch?
The Apple Watch has built-in GPS. Garmin does make a driving app for iPhones and iPads. So it seems likely Garmin will create a Apple Watch 2 app that include the same--as many as they can fit--that works with the Apple Watch 2. They already have staff that is making Apple product apps.
