Yes, I'm fully aware that rosters in August probably don't represent what the rosters in October/November will be like. Expect changes in names and numbers.
Anybody care to fill us in on the top recruits for each/any school? I don't have time...
Okay, Cornell:

I only checked one website for each of the Cornell men and women so if they have faster times than those listed above I'd be glad to hear about it!
GO BIG RED!
Have any of the Ivies made their official incoming-recruits announcements yet? Seems they're playing that closer and closer to the vest as the years go by...
Might as well get this thread started.
The 2016 cross country season officially starts tomorrow. The USTFCCCA polls were released earlier this week, and five squads (1 men, 4 women) are ranked in the top-30 for the pre-season: Penn men (#28), Princeton women (#23), Harvard women (#24), Penn women (#25), and Yale women (#29).

I guess the Penn women has a great recruiting class for them to be ranked this high in the pre-season. I haven't had a chance to really look at their rosters and compare with the rest of the conference, but what to other forum members know about this?
Megan Curham is back for Princeton, and if Elizabeth Bird is healthy, Princeton has a very good shot of going 1-2 at HepsXC and bringing their team back to NCAAs. I think Schudrowitz (Brown) and Smith (Harvard) could break in between them if they are also on their game come race-day.
I pick Ben Rainero (Cornell) as the favorite for the men's individual crown.
Any other thoughts?
Cornell guys are ready to "do it for rojo". Wasn't healthy enough to go to Rio...things not looking good for him.
The ranking for women actually goes Princeton (23), Penn (24), Harvard (25).
Great recruiting classes for Penn and Harvard women; both teams look to have a couple impact freshmen (moreso Harvard, which picked up a slew of sub 10 minute 3k runners--Penn seems to have gone after 8/15 and 4/8 kids) and I expect them both to slightly outperform the poll.
I think Rainero probably takes the mens individual title, but the team race looks to be a little more open. I expect strong performances from Penn and Columbia.
I think Awad (Penn) is going to challenege Rainero for the individual title. We also have to look at Melly (Cornell), who is "trying to win heps" according to my sources.

You need better sources - Awad graduated in June and Melly has been gone since June 2015.
There's already a thread on this (at least on cross):

Also, Rainero has been graduated.
I graduated but I'm still hanging around campus (ayyy). primarily because I promised shearn I'd never leave philly if we made xc nats AND won the 4xmile.
Anyway, I think Pat Gregory and Max Norris will duke it out for most of the race. Its anyone's guess who will pull it off in the end.
I will not be racing Heps this year. Everyone said I'm an old man and I should just hang up the spikes.
Ok I've merged the two threads together.
That Pat Gregory kid from Dartmouth, I think he's in store to do some major damage this year, Just peep the grizzly beard. Someone show me another beard like that in the NCCA's and I'll show you a liar.
Watch what Benson does at Penn in next 1-2 years

Oops, sorry on both accounts.
Looks like Dartmouth has an incoming freshman that went 9:56 for 2 miles. That's 2 sub 5 minute miles in a row. They're gonna do major damage this year.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
