I've had a lot of coaches now throughout my 8 year competitive running year, and what I've come to find is that the ego of some of these coaches prevents them from having any success. Rule #1 should be if you try something and don't see any success from it multiple years in a row, your probably doing something wrong. Set aside your ego and change your damn program. If you are having your team push workouts in early August before season even starts, your doing something wrong. Workouts should feel easy until mid season where you start ramping them up. No one gives a shit what your athletes run at the first few races if they can't even score at the conference meet. Learn how to coach so I don't have to deal with your shit
