I remember, I missed the game live but had it stored on TiVo (do they still have that anymore?). I heard the controversy, so as I watched the game, when Q4 came around, I slow motioned almost every possession and certainly every foul call.
In my humble opinion, the Kings actually got beneficial calls in the first part of the quarter. They actually got away with some fouls and physicality, but then the Lakers certainly got foul calls in the second part of the quarter. They received the benefits. Maybe it was a fix, but to truly say it, one would really have to look at the whole quarter, ...check that, whole game, maybe whole series, and have some sort of objective analysis and study, then some sort of check list like foul, touch foul, phantom foul, missed foul, flop believed, flop not believed, etc. for each side....and this for on the ball and also off the ball. Add up the data and see what the study says. Of course, the study and analysis is still based on looking at a play subjectivity....which is why the debate will always go on.
