Sat: 5k road race in 17:14 (5:33/mi) + 2 w/u and 1.5 c/d. Started out in around 4th place and picked off people until I was in the lead at the turnaround. Stayed in the lead by myself the rest of the race and just tried to push at a consistent pace. Nice 56-second improvement from last year's race. Splits: 5:33, 5:31, 6:10 (5:34 pace)

Monday-4 easy (didn't feel good at all)
Tuesday-Off
Wednesday-4 easy (7:38-felt better)
Thursday-4 easy (7:39

Saturday- easy-a bit hilly (7:23-progressed down each mile-6:49 last mile)
Sunday-6 easy on trails (more technical/twisty than I'm used to-7:56)

Thursday-5 easy w/6 strides
Friday-3 easy, difficult circuit/tennis conditioning
Saturday-off, wasn't feeling great and was sore
Sunday-7.5 w/ 10K race in 39:54 (slightly long due to bad start positioning and tangents-watch has me at 10k in 39:39)
Ran 1st k in 3:26 (way too fast), and continued a bit too fast for a little while before settling in to around 4:00 pace. Pretty decent result for this early, as I haven't run anything other than easy since track. 34 second PB, both this and old PB were run on warm humid days-I typically only have run 10K's early during base seasons.
Will continue building up mileage-running took a back seat to year-end school stuff this week but I'll probably get in more work towards the end of this week.

Tuesday 7 miles around 8 minutes took a break did core and then 3 more sub 8
Wednesday 6 miles easy all sub 9
Thursday mile warm up hard ten minute run covered 1.67 miles ran easy till I hit 6 miles
Friday 7 easy do core then run 3 more
Saturday 4 miles hit the track with 6x100 all under 14 seconds a shake out 200 ran easy till I hit 8 miles
Sunday 4 mile run +10 mile bike ride helping a team mate get his long run in
52 miles
Today I ran 6 miles ran the xc course (tough course) finished it in about 22:50 then took a break due to the heat ran three more
