Does anyone have any experience using compression boots like Normatec, Recovery Pump, etc...? A quick search of the forum didn't yield many helpful results.
Over the last 5-6 months I've upped my weekly mileage to consistently log 80-90 mpw (peaked at 95), with a down week of 60-70 miles every 5-6 weeks. Though I've experience many positive gains from the increased workload, I've also been starting to feel more or less constant soreness/niggles in my lower legs. I'm wondering if compression boots, in addition to my current recovery routine (stretch, ice, foam roll, etc..), will help aid recovery to an extent that it would be worth investing in a pair?
While the above brands aren't really within my price range at this time, I have found some competitors that sell essentially the same products for a fraction of the cost (though still a significant enough amount that it warrants serious consideration prior to purchase).
If anyone who has used compression boots, from any company, can provide insight into whether you thought they were helpful to your training/recovery, I would appreciate your feedback.
