Why are there 13 men in the field? The thirteenth man ran 8:58 in the prelim, Dylan Blankenbaker

Please post the results. TV showed 1,2,3 then a crowd shot and then murphy's face.
How could it suck so bad and never change? Letsrun should write guidelines on the basics of how to televise a race. Show the splits, not too much close up, and if you want to show the winner after the finish (why?), split the screen so we can see at least the other scoring finishers. So simple.
YES THE TV COVERAGE- Camera angles were awful. The did a close up with 200 to go so you couldn' ttell that murphy was moving up.
THey were way too tight on the leading 3.
Place Athlete Affiliation Time
1 Clayton Murphy JR Akron 3:36.38
2 Izaic Yorks SR Washington 3:38.06
3 Henry Wynne JR Virginia 3:38.35
4 Brannon Kidder SR Penn State 3:40.67
5 Sam Prakel SO Oregon 3:40.84
6 Robert Domanic JR Mississippi 3:41.71
7 Craig Engels JR Mississippi 3:43.23
8 James Randon JR Yale 3:43.84

10 Josh Kerr FR New Mexico 3:50.00
11 Blake Haney SO Oregon 3:53.80

What happened when Palamar went flyign into the infield/? Anyone rewind it on the DVR (i can't. I'm watching on my phone).

Why does anyone need a description with live splits?

Because it's quicker to scroll down one thread isntead of juggling mutliple browsers. Some guys might be on a date or putting the kids in bed.
3000m steeple
Ferlic ~826/7

Kibichiy (Louisville)

Works fine for me with chrome+adblock
Works with firefox and adblock plus, dim screen but otherwise fine.
My GOD ESPN's cameraman on the homestretch is terrible. On the final 100, they narrow in on Ferlic so you can't tell how close other people are. T.hen they show a tight vision of 2-3.
Even the casual fan doesn't want to see a close up of two people. THey want to see perspective. How are the other people doing?
"I just knew I was really fit.," said Ferlic who added that he hurdles better when out front. "Never in my wildest dreams when I was a freshman did I think I'd be a national champion."
That was the most unconvincing big win ever by Ferlic. He looked like he might have hit a hurdle at any point in the last two laps. Luckily it worked out for him in the end.
Yeah I was really hoping to give everyone some reliable splits during races but these angles do make it hard... :/

Sure I'll try. Unfortunately I haven't really been keeping up with NCAA much, is there a small list of athletes and their respectivesschools you think I should try and keep an eye for? It makes it easier than having to just look at jerseys then try and switch between the startlist and this forum
You're doing great. Thanks

I've seen high school state championships that the leader is never on the camera because he is so far ahead of the pack
mason ferlic just dominated the steeple
Two ballsy distance performances so far. The diamond leaguers should take note.

I like how they specifically say that Ferlic doesn't like to lead and push the pace and then he goes out and does exactly that.
Great run, and nice interview too.
Andy why didn't Larry R mention that Ferlic fell last year on the water jump. That would actually been something useful to say for once., particularly on the last lap.
Geez flotrack is annoying

I LOVE WATCHING NON TACTICAL RACES! THANK YOU ALL. #NCAATF
All races are tactical Meg. Running hard from the gun is a tactic.

He controlled the pack from in front.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
