Scott Anderson, of LetsRun.com journal fame over a decade ago, told us about this race for a great cause in DC next weekend. He's running and if you want to run a race where 100% of the proceeds go to a charity this is it.
The race is The Defeat DIPG Superhero Sprint & 6K on Sunday May 29 at the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, Maryland.
Thanks in part to the generosity of the sponsors who are covering the costs of the event, all proceeds -- 100% -- are going directly to research to combat DIPG, the deadliest form of childhood brain tumor out there. DIPG impacts 200-400 children per year in the United States alone and has less than a 1% survival rate. This event is being held nearly one year after Michael Mosier, a 6-year boy who was struck by DIPG, helped raise over $119,000 for pediatric brain cancer research through his inspiring story, which you can read about here:

Race time Sunday, May 29 at 8:30 AM at the Westfield Montgomery Mall. Plus there is a 1k for kids.
It's a 6k so you're almost guaranteed a PR. At the very least LRCers show up to prevent Scott from winning the master's division.

and there are some gift cards to various winners:
