LD4 is was better than victory 2, Matumbo beats both though.
FYI - the number of spikes on the shoe doesn't actually determine which shoe is better for the mile...

I was just giving that detail because it determines somewhat how aggressive a spike would be. Are you saying 6 spikes wouldn't be better than 4 for, say the 800?
Victory2. Ran in the endorphins and I think there's a world of difference with response.
Victorys. Save the LD4s for those rainy days you have a track workout but don't want to get your good spikes wet.

No, the rest of the plate determines how aggressive the spike would be. More spikes *often* means better grip, though that is far from a perfect rule. In this case, the LD4 simply doesn't have a very aggressive spike plate - which is fine because it is meant for 3000-10000m anyway. Saucony does make a mid-distance spike too you know...
