I notice, in general, the HJ is set up to bring jumpers to around the MR in 5 raises of the bar(6 heights to jump at) . Is 6 jumps optimum for an athlete?

Is this thinking connected to the 6 attempts in the LJ/TJ & Throws?
Lastly is there a performance curve reality to 6 attempts?
