That's my question... How does Jordy Williams get to Lignano as well? As a Monaco meet director I would not pay to have a 7:5x 3000 runner in a field full of 7:3x guys. Doesn't add up.
If Ches runs well (say he finishes mid pack) will that be the tipping point to have him leave UO and seek out a pro contact
You are allowed to accept reimbursement for all travel costs from a meet. This includes, flights, hotels, food, and I think even a per diem amount as well. I'm sure the coaches at UO have the connections to get him into meets without much of problem. He should be able to run 7:35-38 which will make him one of the fastest in the world and draw attention from the USA fans to watch the livefeed and maybe even buy tickets if they are in Europe. No more expensive than bringing in any other runner.
