hey! collegiate distance runner here, and i would really like some advice. I run about 8-9 miles daily, with a longer run of 10-12 now that we are in summer training for XC. I haven't been feeling great the past 6 months or so and i think it may be due to my diet. Is farmed salmon really that bad for you? I eat about 1-2 pounds of it daily, and vegetables i eat carrots, broccoli, sweet potatoes. i do most of my runs fasted and i'm trying to get my body to adapt to it. during my runs i'm not breathing hard but i just feel like my legs are tired and can't go much faster, most of my runs are between 7-7:45 min miles, my last fastest run was 12 miles or so at about 7 min pace, it was last week and it felt pretty good. I just want to be a lean runner and i can't eat processed carbs or anything like that or i will just gain weight so quickly. I have started lifting, etc to put on more muscle but i'm still not as lean as i can be, but to be faster, do I really need to eat more carbs? any advice appreciated
