I'm trying to find an inexpensive, basic heart rate monitor. Price is an issue, so I'd hope to keep it under $100, but also avoid problems with short battery life, too much interference e.g., from power lines, or problems having the strap stay put during wet weather (I do run around power lines and fairly often in the rain). I wouldn't need any fancy extras (e.g., downloading data to the web, or keeping past splits, etc.), just needing the basics to help follow a training program that requires you to stay in a certain HR zone.
Any recommendations for specific monitors that have worked well for you? Thanks.
